As a vibrant incubator for original musical productions and a key player in the performing arts community, Ai Shen Culture connects emerging talent with opportunities through musical festivals, commercial productions, and touring shows.
- Creation of original musicals for children aged 8+ through “Aishen Theatre Troupe,”: These productions not only showcase young talent but also serve as a cultural bridge. One of our proudest achievements is our first original musical production, “Be Happy Vanessa” premiered at Shanghai Huangpu theatre on July 6 and 7, 2024, and was selected as the opening show for Huangpu Children’s drama festival organised by Huangpu Cultural and Tourism Bureau and Huangpu Theatre. This heartwarming, soul-searching, family-friendly musical production focuses on the question: “What is happiness?” Growing up never comes without growing pains – marked by moments of failure, self-discovery, and imperfection along the way. Through its honest and relatable stories, the show reflects the challenges faced by teens and parents alike – in school, at home, and on their individual paths toward understanding themselves and one another. Ultimately, it reveals the deeper meaning of love, happiness, and the values that shape a fulfilled life.
- International Children & Youth Musical Theatre Festival and Competition: The International Children & Youth Musical Theatre Festival and Competition brings together talented young performers aged 8–16 from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and across Southeast Asia.
