The 12-day UK Musical Theatre Summer Camp successfully concluded in London. Under the guidance of top-tier arts resources in West London, participants transformed from performing artists to professional aspirants. Through immersive masterclasses, in-depth visits to UK art schools, face-to-face exchanges with art school professors, and tours of famous attractions in the UK arts center, participants enhanced their artistic literacy and improved their competitiveness for university applications.
This summer camp was led by Gerry, West End musical theatre director and Head of the Musical Theatre Department at Guildford College, University of Surrey, with a team of experts including renowned West End choreographer Jill, West End musical theatre stars Adam Pearce and Caroline Sheen, and professors from the Mountview School of Dramatic Art. They provided comprehensive guidance from basic skills to university applications and career planning, offering participants valuable learning opportunities for their artistic development.
In addition, the participants explored the National Theatre, toured the Haa Liberty Porter film production studio, incorporated musical elements into their social experience at the “MammaMia Themed Dinner,” and attended multiple live performances of the musical “Hamilton” in London’s West End, enjoying a wonderful twelve-day arts tour of London.
